What Is Included in This CCTV Kit?

Four 8MP 4K Cameras for Multi-Area Coverage

This four-camera configuration is well suited to properties requiring several surveillance positions from the outset. A residential installation could use cameras to monitor the driveway, front entrance, rear garden and side access, while commercial users could position them across an entrance, customer area, stock room and office or working area.

Each supplied camera provides high-quality imaging at up to 8MP resolution, equivalent to 3840 x 2160 pixels. The increased image resolution helps provide useful visual detail across monitored areas when camera position, viewing distance and lighting conditions are suitable.

Camera placement remains important. High resolution does not remove the need to position each camera around the actual security objective, particularly where facial detail, vehicle activity or entrance monitoring is important.

2.8mm Wide-Angle Lens

All four cameras use a 2.8mm lens designed for broad CCTV coverage. This makes the cameras suitable for general surveillance of entrances, driveways, gardens, reception spaces, retail floors, offices, stock areas and similar environments.

A wide 2.8mm lens allows more of the scene to remain visible from each camera position. Subjects positioned farther from the camera will naturally appear smaller, so installation distance should be considered where detailed identification is required.

Smart Hybrid Light Technology

The supplied cameras use Smart Hybrid Light and Smart Supplement Light technology for flexible night-time monitoring. This technology is designed to provide more adaptable supplementary illumination than a conventional basic night-vision system.

Smart lighting capability can be particularly useful around entrances, driveways, gardens, loading areas and other external locations where surveillance is required after dark.

130 dB Wide Dynamic Range

The supplied camera specification includes 130 dB Wide Dynamic Range technology. WDR helps the camera handle scenes containing both bright and darker areas within the same image.

This can be useful around doorways, windows, vehicle entrances and other backlit scenes where strong daylight or artificial lighting could otherwise make part of the image excessively bright or dark.

Built-In Microphone and Speaker

Each camera includes a built-in microphone and speaker, enabling supported real-time two-way audio functionality.

HiLook NVR-104MH-C/4P(E) 4-Channel PoE NVR

The supplied HiLook NVR-104MH-C/4P(E) is a four-channel 4K PoE network video recorder with four integrated PoE camera interfaces.

All four camera channels are occupied by the four cameras supplied in this kit. All four integrated PoE camera interfaces are therefore also required when the cameras are connected directly to the recorder.

The recorder supports recording resolutions up to 8MP and supports H.265+, H.265, H.264+ and H.264 video compression. Maximum incoming network bandwidth is 40 Mbps.

Important Four-Camera Bandwidth Information

The NVR provides up to 40 Mbps incoming bandwidth. The combined network traffic generated by all four cameras must therefore remain within the recorder's available incoming-bandwidth capacity.

The exact bandwidth generated by each camera depends on configured bitrate, frame rate, compression settings, image complexity and other video settings. Because the exact camera model is intentionally not published in this listing, no unsupported maximum camera bitrate is stated.

The four cameras should be configured so their combined traffic remains comfortably within the NVR's 40 Mbps incoming-bandwidth limit.

Four-Camera Live-View Considerations

Camera-input capacity and high-resolution decoding capacity are separate recorder specifications. The NVR accepts four compatible cameras and supports recording resolutions up to 8MP, but displaying several high-resolution streams simultaneously may require suitable live-view stream settings.

For a four-camera split-screen display, suitable sub-streams or lower-resolution live-view streams can be used where required while the cameras continue recording with their configured recording streams.

PoE Camera Connectivity

The cameras support PoE as well as 12V DC power. The HiLook NVR provides four integrated IEEE 802.3af/at PoE interfaces and a total PoE power budget of up to 50W.

When connected through compatible PoE, a suitable Ethernet network cable can carry both camera data and electrical power between the recorder and camera.

This kit includes four 15m network cables, providing one cable for every supplied camera. Installation routes should be measured before installation to confirm that the supplied cable lengths are suitable.

2TB Surveillance Hard Drive Included

This kit includes one 2TB surveillance hard drive for central recording through the NVR.

The HiLook NVR provides one SATA hard-drive interface and supports compatible storage capacities up to 8TB, so the supplied 2TB drive sits within the recorder's supported storage range.

Actual recording duration depends on camera bitrate, frame rate, resolution, compression, recording schedule and scene activity. Four 8MP cameras can generate a substantial amount of video data, so a guaranteed recording duration should not be stated without calculating storage from the final recording configuration.

On-Camera microSD Storage Support

The supplied camera specification supports onboard microSD recording with card capacity up to 512GB.

microSD cards are not included unless specifically stated separately. The included 2TB surveillance hard drive provides the main central recording storage for this bundle.

FREE Monitor Included

One monitor is supplied FREE with this four-camera CCTV kit. This provides a convenient local display for camera viewing, playback and NVR operation without requiring the customer to purchase a separate monitor.

The HiLook NVR provides HDMI and VGA display connections and supports HDMI output up to 4K when used with suitable display equipment and settings.

Mobile Monitoring

The supplied camera specification supports mobile monitoring through HiLook and Hik-Connect. The NVR also supports compatible Hik-Connect connectivity.
