What Is Included in This CCTV Kit?

Three 8MP 4K Cameras for Wider CCTV Coverage

This three-camera configuration provides useful coverage for properties that need surveillance across several important areas from the beginning. A residential installation could position the cameras around the front entrance, driveway and rear of the property, while a shop or office could use the three cameras for an entrance, customer area and stock or working space.

Each camera provides high-quality 8MP imaging at up to 3840 x 2160 resolution. The increased image detail can be useful where customers want clearer surveillance than lower-resolution systems can provide.

Actual identification performance depends on camera placement, mounting height, target distance, lighting conditions and the area being monitored, so camera positions should be planned around the most important surveillance points.

2.8mm Wide-Angle Camera Lens

All three cameras use a 2.8mm lens. This wider lens format is well suited to general-purpose CCTV monitoring where broad scene coverage is preferred.

Typical positions can include front doors, driveways, gardens, shop floors, reception areas, offices, stock rooms and other areas where a wide view helps cover more of the scene from one camera position.

This three-camera kit occupies three recorder channels and three PoE ports, leaving one camera channel and one PoE interface available for a compatible future camera.

The NVR supports recording resolutions up to 8MP and supports H.265+, H.265, H.264+ and H.264 video compression. Its maximum incoming network bandwidth is 40 Mbps.

Important Bandwidth Information

The NVR has a maximum incoming-bandwidth capacity of 40 Mbps. The combined video traffic generated by all three cameras must therefore remain within this recorder limit.

The exact bandwidth used by the supplied cameras depends on their configured bitrate, frame rate, compression settings, scene complexity and other video settings. Because the exact camera model is intentionally not published in this listing, no unsupported individual maximum bitrate is stated.

Camera settings should be configured so the complete three-camera system remains comfortably within the NVR's 40 Mbps incoming-bandwidth capacity.

Three-Camera 8MP Live Viewing

Camera input capacity and simultaneous high-resolution decoding capacity are different specifications. The NVR can accept up to four compatible IP cameras and supports 8MP recording, but multi-camera live viewing should use suitable stream settings where several high-resolution channels are displayed simultaneously.

For a three-camera screen layout, suitable sub-streams or lower-resolution live-view streams may be used while the cameras continue to record using their configured recording streams.

PoE Camera Connection

The supplied cameras support PoE as well as 12V DC. The NVR provides four IEEE 802.3af/at PoE interfaces with an overall PoE budget of up to 50W.

When cameras are connected directly to compatible NVR PoE ports, a suitable network cable can carry network data and camera power through the same connection.

This kit includes three 15m network cables, providing one cable for each camera. Customers should check the planned installation routes before fitting to confirm that each 15m cable is long enough.

2TB Surveillance Hard Drive Included

A 2TB surveillance hard drive is included with this kit for central CCTV recording through the NVR.

The NVR provides one SATA hard-drive interface and supports a compatible HDD capacity of up to 8TB, so the supplied 2TB drive operates within the recorder's supported storage specification.

Recording duration depends on the selected camera bitrate, frame rate, resolution, compression, recording schedule and amount of activity within each camera scene. A fixed number of recording days cannot be guaranteed without calculating the final recording configuration.

On-Camera Storage Support

The supplied camera specification also supports onboard storage through a microSD card slot with capacity up to 512GB.

microSD cards are not included in this bundle unless specifically stated separately. The included 2TB HDD is the primary central recording storage supplied with this kit.

FREE Monitor Included

This CCTV kit includes one monitor FREE. The included monitor provides a convenient local display for viewing camera images, accessing recordings and operating the NVR.

The HiLook NVR provides HDMI and VGA display outputs, with HDMI capable of output up to 4K resolution when used with suitable display equipment and settings.

Mobile Viewing

The supplied camera specification supports mobile monitoring through HiLook and Hik-Connect. The NVR also supports Hik-Connect connectivity.

Remote viewing requires suitable internet connectivity, correct device and network configuration, account setup and appropriate security settings.

One Spare Camera Channel

The NVR provides four IP camera channels in total. Three are used by the cameras supplied in this kit, leaving one available for a compatible fourth camera.
