It combines high-resolution 2560 × 1944 imaging with an adjustable 2.7–13.5mm motorised lens, infrared illumination up to 40 metres and support for Hikvision Power over Coaxial technology. The motorised varifocal lens allows the viewing angle to be adjusted over a wide focal range, making the camera more flexible than a fixed-lens model. It can be configured for broader area coverage at the wide end or a narrower, more focused view at the telephoto end. This model uses Hikvision Turbo HD analogue video technology. It connects to a compatible DVR through an HD analogue connection rather than an Ethernet network connection. It should therefore not be confused with an IP camera or standard PoE camera. Key Features 5MP maximum resolution of 2560 × 1944 5MP CMOS image sensor 2.7–13.5mm motorised varifocal lens Wide-to-telephoto horizontal field of view from approximately 95° to 26° Infrared night vision up to 40 metres Smart IR image adjustment Digital Wide Dynamic Range Backlight Compensation and Highlight Compensation 2D Digital Noise Reduction Turbo HD analogue video output 5MP video at up to 20fps 4MP video at up to 25fps or 30fps 1080p video at up to 25fps or 30fps 12V DC or compatible PoC.at power Maximum rated power consumption of 8.7W IP67 dust and water protection Metal front cover and plastic main body Detailed 5MP Turbo HD Imaging The DS-2CE19H0T-IT3ZE(C) uses a 5MP CMOS sensor with a maximum output resolution of 2560 × 1944. This provides considerably more image detail than standard 1080p analogue HD video and makes the camera suitable for installations where greater recorded detail is required. At its maximum 5MP resolution, Hikvision specifies operation at up to 20 frames per second. The camera can also operate at 4MP with selectable 25fps or 30fps output and at 1080p with selectable 25fps or 30fps output. The connected DVR must support the required Turbo HD resolution and frame rate. A recorder that supports only lower-resolution analogue camera inputs may limit the resolution available from the camera. 2.7–13.5mm Motorised Varifocal Lens One of the main advantages of this model is its 2.7–13.5mm motorised varifocal lens. Unlike a fixed 2.8mm or 3.6mm camera, the lens can be adjusted across a broad focal range to suit the required scene. At approximately 2.7mm, the camera provides a wider view suitable for entrances, driveways, yards, shop fronts and other areas where broad coverage is important. Moving towards 13.5mm narrows the field of view and concentrates the image on a smaller area. Hikvision specifies an approximate horizontal field of view from 95° at the wide end to 26° at the telephoto end. The vertical field of view changes from approximately 72° to 20°, while the diagonal field of view changes from approximately 126° to 33°. Because the lens is motorised, focal-length adjustment does not require manually rotating a conventional varifocal lens. Compatible Hikvision control equipment is required to operate supported camera functions. The camera itself is not a PTZ camera. Adjusting the lens does not physically pan or tilt the housing. Its direction must still be manually positioned during installation. 40 Metre Infrared Night Vision Built-in infrared illumination provides a manufacturer-rated range of up to 40 metres for night-time monitoring. The camera supports automatic, colour and black-and-white day/night modes. In low-light conditions it can switch to infrared-assisted black-and-white imaging to continue monitoring when visible light becomes insufficient. Smart IR can help manage infrared intensity to reduce excessive illumination on nearby objects and subjects. The stated 40-metre figure is the manufacturer’s rated infrared illumination distance. It should not be presented as a guaranteed facial-identification or vehicle-registration reading distance. Actual night-time performance depends on camera positioning, weather, target size, surrounding surfaces and available ambient light. Low-Light Image Performance Hikvision specifies minimum illumination of 0.01 lux at F1.6 with automatic gain control enabled and 0 lux when infrared illumination is active. This camera is not a ColorVu model. In very low-light or dark conditions it relies on infrared illumination and can produce black-and-white night video. Customers requiring permanent colour imaging in extremely dark scenes should consider a suitable Hikvision ColorVu or Smart Hybrid Light model instead. Digital WDR and Image Enhancement The DS-2CE19H0T-IT3ZE(C) supports Digital Wide Dynamic Range to help balance scenes containing different brightness levels. It is important to distinguish Digital WDR from the true 120dB or 130dB WDR found on some higher-specification Hikvision cameras. This particular model should not be advertised as having true 120dB WDR. Additional image-enhancement functions include Backlight Compensation, Highlight Compensation, 2D Digital Noise Reduction and a Global image-enhancement mode. Available image settings include brightness, Smart IR, sharpness and automatic gain control. Hikvision also provides automatic and manual white-balance options and selectable STD and HIGH-SAT image parameter modes. Turbo HD Analogue Video Connection The camera provides one HD analogue video output and is designed for compatible Hikvision Turbo HD DVR installations. It is not an Ethernet IP camera. The official specification does not list an RJ45 network port, Wi-Fi connection, microSD slot or network streaming interface. This distinction is important when selecting recording equipment. The camera should be connected to a DVR that supports its Turbo HD signal, resolution and required control functions rather than to an NVR intended only for IP cameras. PoC.at and 12V DC Power The camera supports both 12V DC power within the manufacturer's specified tolerance and compatible PoC.at operation. PoC means Power over Coaxial. When used with compatible Hikvision PoC equipment, electrical power can be provided through the coaxial CCTV connection, helping reduce the need for a separate power cable to the camera. PoC must not be confused with Ethernet PoE. Standard PoE uses network cabling and Ethernet equipment, while this model is an analogue Turbo HD camera using a coaxial video system. The maximum rated power consumption is 8.7W. Hikvision recommends using an appropriate power arrangement and specifically advises suitable separate power equipment where required for long-distance installations. Outdoor IP67 Protection The DS-2CE19H0T-IT3ZE(C) has an IP67 protection rating for resistance to dust and water when installed correctly. The front cover is manufactured from metal and the main body from plastic. The camera is specified for operating temperatures from -40°C to 60°C with relative humidity of 90% or less under non-condensing conditions. An IP67 rating does not remove the need for correct cable sealing, suitable junction-box installation and protection of exposed power or video connections. The DS-2CE19H0T-IT3ZE(C) is a strong option when an analogue CCTV installation needs 5MP resolution combined with the flexibility of a motorised varifocal lens. The adjustable 2.7–13.5mm range makes it useful where the final viewing angle cannot be accurately chosen using a fixed-lens camera. Choose a different model if you require IP networking, standard PoE, ColorVu full-colour night imaging, built-in audio, microSD recording, AcuSense human and vehicle classification or PTZ movement. Before ordering, confirm that the DVR supports 5MP Turbo HD video, the required frame rate, compatible motorised-lens control and PoC.at if Power over Coaxial will be used.
