4MP High-Definition Network Video

The DS-2CD3646G2T-IZSY(H) uses a 1/3-inch progressive scan CMOS sensor and records at a maximum resolution of 2688 × 1520, commonly described as 4MP.

For UK 50Hz operation, the main stream supports up to 25 frames per second at 2688 × 1520, 1920 × 1080 and 1280 × 720.

Powered-by-DarkFighter Low-Light Imaging

Powered-by-DarkFighter technology helps maintain usable surveillance imagery when ambient light levels are low.

Hikvision's current family specification lists minimum colour illumination from approximately 0.003 lux and black-and-white sensitivity down to approximately 0.001 lux under its stated laboratory conditions, with 0 lux operation available when infrared illumination is active.

Low-light lux values are laboratory reference measurements rather than guaranteed image-quality results in every real-world environment.

Two Motorised Varifocal Lens Options

The 2.7-13.5mm version is designed for applications requiring a flexible combination of wide-angle coverage and moderate telephoto adjustment. It provides approximately 107.6° horizontal coverage at the widest setting, narrowing to approximately 32.9° at maximum telephoto.

The 7-35mm version is considerably more telephoto-oriented. Its horizontal field of view ranges from approximately 28.7° to 10.5°, making it better suited to more focused and longer-distance viewing.

Both lenses are motorised and support automatic, semi-automatic and manual focus adjustment. They are varifocal lenses rather than PTZ systems: the camera's focal length can be adjusted, but the camera does not remotely pan or tilt around the installation.

Up to 60m or 80m Infrared Illumination

The maximum infrared range depends on the exact lens version.

The 2.7-13.5mm model provides manufacturer-rated infrared illumination up to 60 metres, while the 7-35mm version provides infrared illumination up to 80 metres.

Smart Supplement Light helps manage infrared intensity according to the monitored scene.

The 60m and 80m figures describe rated IR illumination distances. They do not guarantee facial, number-plate or evidential identification at those distances.

120dB True Wide Dynamic Range

The current exact DS-2CD3646G2T-IZSY(H) documentation specifies 120dB True WDR.

Wide Dynamic Range helps preserve useful detail where very bright and very dark areas exist within the same image, such as entrances, loading bays and areas facing strong daylight.

microSD Storage up to 512GB

The built-in memory-card slot supports compatible microSD, microSDHC and microSDXC cards with capacities up to 512GB.
