DHI-PM16-S201PD 15.6" Full HD IPS Portable Monitor - USB-C & HDMI

DHI-PM16-S201PD 15.6-Inch Full HD IPS Portable Monitor

The DHI-PM16-S201PD is a compact 15.6-inch portable monitor designed for users who need an additional Full HD display without the bulk of a conventional desktop monitor. Its slim portable format makes it well suited to home working, office use, travel, presentations, compatible CCTV systems and other situations where a flexible second screen is useful.

The monitor combines a Full HD 1920 x 1080 IPS panel with a 60Hz refresh rate, wide 178° viewing angles, anti-glare screen treatment, Low Blue Light technology, integrated stereo speakers and flexible USB-C and HDMI connectivity.

At approximately 750g, the display is light enough to move between workspaces while still providing a generous 15.6-inch viewing area.

15.6-Inch Portable Display

The DHI-PM16-S201PD uses a 15.6-inch display with a native 16:9 aspect ratio.

The compact screen size is particularly useful when a second display is required beside a laptop or where permanent desktop-monitor installation is not practical.

It can be moved between desks, offices and other suitable indoor locations more easily than a conventional full-size monitor, making it useful for both permanent and temporary workstation setups.

Full HD 1920 x 1080 Resolution

The display provides a native Full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels.

Full HD resolution provides detailed image presentation for office software, web browsing, video playback, compatible surveillance systems and general computer use.

On a compact 15.6-inch panel, the Full HD resolution also provides a relatively high pixel density, helping text and interface elements appear clear when used at an appropriate viewing distance.

IPS Display Technology

The DHI-PM16-S201PD uses an IPS LCD panel with Edge LED backlighting.

IPS technology is well suited to a portable second display because it provides broad viewing angles and consistent image presentation when the user is not positioned directly in front of the screen.

This can be useful when the display is positioned beside a laptop, shared during a meeting or used as a secondary CCTV monitoring screen.

178° Wide Viewing Angles

The monitor provides wide 178° horizontal and 178° vertical viewing angles.

This allows the displayed image to remain visible from a broad range of viewing positions and provides more flexibility when positioning the monitor alongside another display.

60Hz Refresh Rate

The DHI-PM16-S201PD operates at a 60Hz refresh rate.

This makes it suitable for everyday productivity, office applications, video playback, CCTV viewing and general display use.

No refresh rate above 60Hz should be advertised for this exact model.

1000:1 Contrast Ratio

The IPS panel has a specified typical contrast ratio of 1000:1.

This provides suitable differentiation between lighter and darker image areas for normal desktop, video and surveillance applications.

20ms Response Time

The specified response time for the DHI-PM16-S201PD is 20ms.

The monitor is primarily designed as a portable productivity and general-purpose display rather than a specialist high-speed gaming monitor.

Anti-Glare Screen

The monitor features an anti-glare display surface.

This can help reduce distracting reflections from surrounding indoor lighting and improve viewing comfort when the display is used for extended periods.

Low Blue Light Technology

Low Blue Light technology is included to support more comfortable extended viewing.

This can be useful for office workers, installers and other users who may spend extended periods working with the portable display.

16.7 Million Colours

The display supports approximately 16.7 million colours.

The specified pixel pitch is approximately 0.17925 x 0.17925mm, with a pixel density of approximately 141.21 pixels per inch.

HDMI 1.4 Connectivity

The DHI-PM16-S201PD provides one HDMI 1.4 video connection for compatible source equipment.

This makes it suitable for connection to compatible laptops, desktop computers, CCTV recorders and other devices providing an appropriate HDMI output.

An HDMI cable is listed among the standard supplied cables for this model.

Dual USB-C Connectivity

The exact DHI-PM16-S201PD product specification lists two USB Type-C connections.

USB-C provides a convenient modern connection option for compatible equipment and also supports the monitor's USB-powered design.

A USB Type-C cable is included in the standard product package.

Customers should still check the capabilities of the source device before purchase. Not every USB-C port on a laptop, tablet or computer supports display output, so video compatibility should be confirmed for the equipment being connected.

Audio Output

The exact product specification lists an audio-output connection in addition to the monitor's built-in speakers.

This provides additional flexibility where compatible external audio equipment is required.

Built-In Stereo Speakers

The DHI-PM16-S201PD includes two built-in speakers rated at 2W each.

Integrated speakers allow compatible audio to be reproduced directly through the portable display without requiring separate speakers for basic playback.

Audio availability depends on the connected source, connection type and source-device settings.

USB Powered

The monitor uses USB as its specified power source.

This contributes to its portable design by allowing it to operate without the type of large integrated mains power supply commonly associated with full-size desktop monitors.

The exact source device and USB power arrangement should still provide sufficient compatible power for reliable operation.

Lightweight 750g Design

The monitor weighs approximately 750g with its stand configuration.

This lightweight construction makes it much easier to move between workspaces or carry alongside compatible laptop equipment than a conventional desktop monitor.

Ultra-Thin Portable Design

The monitor uses an ultra-thin design with narrow display borders, helping keep the overall product compact while maximising the available screen area.

Its black finish gives it a clean, professional appearance suitable for offices, home workstations and security environments.

Designed for Extended Operation

The product specification identifies the monitor as being designed to support operation for up to 7 days per week and 16 hours per day.

This makes it suitable for general professional use where the screen may remain active for extended working periods.

This specification should not be interpreted as a 24-hour continuous-operation rating.

Ideal as a Second Laptop Screen

The DHI-PM16-S201PD can provide additional workspace for compatible laptops.

For example, a user can keep email, messaging or reference material on one display while using the main laptop screen for documents, spreadsheets or other applications.

This can improve productivity without requiring a permanent desktop multi-monitor setup.

Useful for CCTV Installers

The portable format can also be useful for CCTV installers who need a compact Full HD screen for compatible equipment.

Where a CCTV recorder or other surveillance device provides a suitable video output, the monitor can provide a convenient display for configuration, live viewing or system testing.

Compatibility must always be checked against the exact video outputs and supported resolutions of the connected equipment.

Suitable for Presentations and Mobile Working

The lightweight construction and multiple connection options also make the monitor suitable for presentations, temporary offices and mobile-working setups.

It can provide an additional screen without requiring users to rely on whatever monitor may be available at the destination.
